7 Reasons you need a Treadmill at Home

If you are looking to start exercising at home you might be wondering where to begin.

One of the best ways to shed those calories and get into shape is to buy a treadmill?

Treadmills are the most popular piece of home gym equipment which is not surprising when you consider the many benefits.

Here’s a number or reasons why buying a treadmill for home is so worthwhile.

1) It is the fastest way to burn calories and get in shape.

Studies in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)have proven that working out on a treadmill will burn more calories than other forms of exercise including exercise bikes, cross trainers and stair climbing machines. In fact a well paced treadmill routine will burn about 700 calories per hour as opposed to 627 calories for stair climbing machines and 498 for an exercise bike.

2) You get to work out anytime you choose:

When you have a treadmill at home, you are in control and are able to exercise at your own pace.

No need to get to the gym, so no gym membership fees. No waiting in line and no running outside in the cold or rain. On the downside, you’ll have no excuses not to workout.

You don’t need to dress up in your best gym outfit. You can save your cash on buying your new trendy get fit clothes. But hopefully after not too long you need to buy a new outfit to go with that brand new body of yours.

4) Workout for as long as you want:

Don't you just hate being stared down at the gym because you feel your being watched my someone who wants to use your exercise machine next. Too bad, cos’ when you have your own home set up, the only one pushing you off the treadmill or exercise bike will being your own pain which you just know will reward you with the gain. And don’t you deserve it!

5) Get the body you've always wanted:

It’s a fact that when it’s more convenient to workout, you will workout more often. And in doing so, you’ll be taking steps (pardon the pun) daily to finally get the body you’ve always wanted.

6)Its not boring:

How many times have you gone to the gym and been bored out of your mind within 10 minutes of your workout? With a home treadmill you can set it up in front of your tv and watch your favourite shows or movies.

One you find yourself in the zone because you find yourself lost in your favourite series, you wont even realise that you’ve just completed a 45 min workout.

7) Don’t feel embarrassed or shamed how you look in front of others.

You don’t need to feel ashamed about exercising or how you look in front of a gym full of strangers.

You’re on your own now in the best possible way. Heck, you could even train naked if that happens to be your thing. But let’s not go there, ok. I was just trying make a point.

So pros definitely outweigh the cons of owning a treadmill and working out in your own gym at home.
