When you order items online you are confirming you agree to our Shipping Policy.
Shipping Policy
House Things shall determine the manner of shipping our items to you along with the courier used. We give our couriers full permission to leave all parcels at residential addresses in preference to returning the parcel to the courier’s depot. The parcel will only be given permission to be left at a safe place at a residence and will not be left in any place that the courier deems unsafe to theft. If a customer does not prefer to have an authority to leave, the customer must advise House Things before ordering which may incur a re-delivery fee.
Free Shipping Terms and Conditions
House Things offers FREE SHIPPING on all items to MOST of Australia but excludes some postcodes due to either a limited courier service or no service at all. There may be some exceptions to this and we would ask that you contact us at info@housethings.com.au or via the Chat Icon to see if there is either a service or an additional charge that would need to be paid to deliver your order to the postcode. Orders for delivery to postcodes with no shipment service will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Estimated Delivery Times
We are unable to guarantee a delivery on any specific dates or times as this is not something our delivery partners can provide. Indicative timeframes are:

Delivery of bulky items such as mattresses, bed frames, outdoor furniture and some larger furniture may delay these times by a further 1-4 business days.
Commencement of Shipping and Tracking
Delivery time starts once your payment has been cleared and the item has been dispatched from the warehouse. This usually takes 1-2 working days from receipt of cleared payment. We will send you the order tracking details from the courier for you to use in their online tracking system. Please allow 48 hours for this to be updated prior to using.
Investigations into the status of deliveries will not be lodged by House Things until the estimated delivery date has lapsed.
Please note, some items are shipped in multiple boxes, these may not all arrive on the same day depending on how the local courier dispatches boxes to certain addresses and postcodes.

The couriers we use may change from time to time and their terms and conditions are listed on their websites which may change without notice to us.
Australia Post
Items that weigh <22 kg will typically be dispatched with eParcel, Australia Post’s Internet enabled freight system. Each parcel will carry a barcoded address label and you will be able to view the location of your item at various points in the delivery process via Australia Post’s online tracking tool which can be found at http://auspostcom.au/track/ and use the tracking number given to track your item.
Aramex Australia
Parcels that weigh >22 kg may be dispatched with Aramex whose comprehensive fleet and professional team will ensure items delivered safely to your door. Parcels dispatched with Aramex are collected from our premises daily Each parcel has a barcoded address label so you will be able to track the location of your item at various points in the delivery process via Aramex's website http://www.aramex.com.au and use the given tracking number.
Allied Express
Parcels that weigh >22 kg may be dispatched with Allied Express. Allied Express is the biggest and independently owned courier company in Australia with offices in all major mainland capitals. Each parcel has a barcoded address label which you will be able to track through the Allied Express website at http://alliedexpress.com.au/ or call 131521 for more information.
Hunter Express
Parcels that weigh >22kg may be dispatched with Hunter Express. Each parcel has a barcoded address label which can be tracked at the Hunter Express website https://www.hunterexpress.com.au/home. If the delivery is missed, the item may be returned to the depot and our customer service team will inform you of the redelivery.
Toll Group
Parcel with weigh <30kg may be dispatched with Toll. Toll is a major integrated logistics provider with an Asia Pacific focus who provide a safe, secure transport services. Each parcel will carry a barcoded address label which you can track your items through the Toll website at https://www.tollgroup.com/tools/mytoll. If the delivery is missed, you should receive a card with instructions on how to find your parcel or you can visit Toll website to arrange a re-delivery.
TNT
Parcels sent from our Brisbane operation will generally be despatched with TNT who are one of the world’s largest and most trusted transport logistics company that operate Australia wide. Each parcel will carry a barcoded address label which you can track through the TNT website at http://www.tnt.com/express/en_au/site/home.html or call 131150 for more information.
Undeliverable Packages
In the unlikely event that your parcel is returned to us, our customer service representative will contact you via email. Fees and charges will apply for a customer failing to pick up a parcel in an acceptable time frame.
Inaccurate Address
If there are any address discrepancies with your order and the item is returned us, a customer care team member will be in touch. A re-delivery cost will occur for any items that are returned to us.
Unsuccessful Delivery Attempt
If no one is present when the order arrives, a notification will be left in the mailbox for you to pick up your parcel at your local Post Office or local collection point. A re-delivery cost will occur if you are not home at the arranged time as some couriers do not re-deliver after missed attempts (i.e. Australia Post). If you miss a delivery, you are responsible for arranging pick up at the local collection point without cost to House Things.
Rejected by Receiver
If your item is a gift, please inform the receiver to avoid parcel rejection. A re-delivery cost will occur if the parcel has to be re-delivered.
The expected delivery time provided by each courier is for reference only as some deliveries might take longer than expected due to various reasons. If you do not receive your item within 10 business days, please contact our customer service team.
Pick up or arranging your own courier is not available.
